I am an ICT leader for development with 15 years’ experience working for Multinational Technology vendors in driving adoption of digital transformation in multiple industries throughout Africa. Most recently while at Microsoft, I work in the Tech for Social impact team where Microsoft technology meets humanitarianism, leading to sustainable solutions that could uplift entire communities. I focus on supporting the International development and NGO sector mission attainment through building AI focused digital ecosystems and platforms to address imperatives such as research, resource planning, stakeholder management and engagement as well as program delivery and monitoring for continuously improved outcomes.
Previously, I worked as a software cloud architect designing solutions that digitalize client’s technology requirements in the financial, government and healthcare sectors. I also worked as a product manager supporting a team of software engineers develop a public digital health solution based on the gaps of existing global telemedicine platforms in meeting the requirements of the African market.
Through Microsoft grants, offers and programs in the sector across Africa, we have seen impact in collaboration with Nonprofits in the healthcare, education, agriculture, investment, research as well as humanitarian need areas in addressing developmental challenges. I am also currently also a member of the AI for Developing countries forum based in Geneva aimed at bridging AI accessibility gap across the globe through tailored innovations to meet the unique needs of developing nations.
