The Evi4Dev Conference is set to take place from May 6-8, 2025, in Nairobi, focusing on the crucial theme of "Optimising the Role of Data, Evidence, and Innovations in Africa’s Efforts to Create Wealth, Empower Citizens, and Foster Responsive and Inclusive Governance." This biennial conference is organized by the African Union Development Agency (AUDA-NEPAD) and the African Institute for Development Policy (AFIDEP), aiming to enhance the role of data and evidence in driving Africa's development agenda.
As part of the conference preparations, we are inviting submissions for abstracts for both oral and poster sessions, as well as for side sessions organized by stakeholders. The call for abstracts is an opportunity for researchers, practitioners, and policymakers to share their insights and innovations that contribute to addressing key developmental challenges in Africa.
We seek contributions that reflect on significant initiatives in five priority sectors:
- Wealth Creation: Exploring inclusive business opportunities and job creation.
- Infrastructure Development: Addressing physical, energy, and digital infrastructure needs.
- Food Production: Innovations in agricultural practices and food security.
- Transforming Education Systems: Enhancing educational frameworks for better outcomes.
- Transforming Health Systems: Improving healthcare delivery through evidence-based practices.
Abstracts should not exceed 300 words and must clearly articulate the relevance and impact of the proposed work.
