2025 Conference Program
Held from May 6–8, 2025, the inaugural Evidence for Development (Evi4Dev) Conference brought together over 300 delegates from across Africa and beyond, including policymakers, researchers, civil society, private sector actors, and development partners. Under the theme “Optimising the Role of Data, Evidence, and Innovations in Africa’s Efforts to Create Wealth, Empower Citizens, and Foster Responsive Governance,” the programme featured high-level plenaries, sector-focused parallel sessions, poster presentations, interactive workshops, and networking events.
The sessions explored the use of evidence and innovation in key development areas such as health, education, food systems, infrastructure, and economic transformation, with a strong emphasis on fostering collaboration and embedding evidence into policymaking processes.
