
Albertina Ngomah-Moraes is a public health researcher with expertise in epidemic preparedness, health systems resilience, and evidence-informed policymaking. She is currently pursuing a Doctorate in Public Health at the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine, where her research focuses on outbreak preparedness and building health system resilience in Zambia.
She currently serves as Knowledge Translation Officer at the Zambia National Public Health Institute (ZNPHI), where she oversees policy-relevant research, monitoring & evaluation, and provides support for resource mobilisation for sustainable One Health programming. An experienced mentor, she has coached early-career professionals in programmes such as Data to Policy, iPEP and Global Health Corps, and she continues to champion integrated, inclusive approaches to health security in pandemic preparedness and response. She joins the Science for Africa Foundation panel on “Strengthening STI Capacity for Emergency Preparedness in Health Crises,” where she will share insights on data-driven decision-making, cross-disciplinary collaboration, and the critical integration of One Health approaches into pandemic preparedness and response.
