
Dr. Neveen George M. El-Antouny is a Professor of Internal Medicine at Zagazig University with a distinguished career in clinical care, medical education, and health policy. She has led key units in infectious diseases, nephrology, and intensive care, and has mentored a lot of medical students. Regionally, she has contributed to HIV/AIDS care and health systems strengthening as a Senior Technical Advisor in Kenya.
Since 2020, Prof Dr. El-Antouny has served as a Senator in the Egyptian Senate, where she is an active member of the Health and Population Committee. In this role, she has been instrumental in shaping national healthcare legislation, advocating for improved access to medical services, strengthening public health systems, and promoting evidence-based health policies. Her work has contributed to reforms in medical education, infectious disease management, and chronic disease care. Fluent in Arabic and English, with a working knowledge of French, she brings a global, policy-informed perspective to healthcare advancement.
