
Dr. Alice Norton leads the PSI Policy and Practice Research Group. Her group undertakes applied research on the design and implementation of policy and practice for pandemic preparedness and response.
She is also the Scientific Director of the Global Research Collaboration for Infectious Disease Preparedness (GloPID-R) undertaking research and policy development to support global research funders in their preparedness and response to infectious diseases. The team focusses on a range of research to inform policy and direct policy development and have a particular interest in research prioritisation.
Dr Norton is the PI for the Pandemic PACT programme and previous Head of the COVID-19 Research Coordination and Learning Initiative (COVID CIRCLE), tracking research funding and identifying research needs to inform action in collaboration with key stakeholders including global research funders, WHO, GAVI and CEPI.
She is also the Academic and Policy Lead for the PSI Mastercard Collaborative programme with the Science Foundation of Africa on Pandemic Sciences.
