President, Kenya Obstetrical and Gynaecological Society.

Dr. Kireki Omanwa is a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist and a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at the University of Nairobi. He is currently the president of Kenya Obstetrical and Gynaecological Society since 2021.

Apart from teaching and supervising postgraduate students at the department ,he is a fertility specialist offering infertility treatment at Kenyatta National Hospital - Kenya's national referral hospital as well as in the private sector.

As the president of the Kenya Obstetrical and Gynaecological Society, they are focused on reducing maternal and neonatal mortality ratios to meet the SDG goals. The society achieves this through engaging in advocacy by organizing “a PPH run” which has drawn a lot of interest from the government and other stakeholders.
